Jaaa er is weer het een en ander gebeurd in de tussen tijd.
In Porto Rico werden we te vaak op geschrikt door de aardbeveinegen.
We zijn vandaar naar Jamaca gevaren. Daar kregen we de gelegenheid Duppy een schonheids behandeling te geven, die echt noodzakeliijk was.
De afgesproken prijs was naar ons zin, en de belofte dat de boot als nieuw er uit kwam te zien,
We hebben de schilder ongeveer de helft geven om verf en ander materiaal te kopen om de klus te klaren.
Doch al snel merkte we dat hij geen profesionele schilder was. Werke on georganiseerd. Een ogenblik was achter aan de boot aan het schuren en he dan voor en weer achter of in het midden.
In ieder geval waren we aan het eind niet te vreden met het resultaat wat hij geleverd had.
Dus hij hefft het resterede bedrag niet ontvangn..
WE zijn van Jamaca naar Columbia gevaren. Wat naar mijn meneing zeer snelging.
We legde in 24 uur 138 myl af. We zouden het in 3 en een halve dga gedaan kunnen hebben. Maar dan kwamen we een uur voor donker bij de ingang van de haven, en daana moest je nog een 5 myl tot waar we wezen moesten. Dus de rem er op.
S'nachts ging de wind aan trekken tot 35 knopen, zonder zeil dus kaal,was de snekheid nog 5 myl.
Omdat we geen zeil op hadden staan slingerde de boot giganties. We konden ons nouwelijks staande houden. Met gevolg dat ik op een bepaald moment mij evenwicht totaal kwijt was en werd als het waren weg geschoten tegen de wand aan. Eind resultaal een flink gat in mijn hooftd!!
Gelukkig niet zo groot dat mijn heresen er uit vielen.
Smorgen's was de wind rustiger geworden en konden we weer wat snelheid maken om de haven binnen te lopen in Cartagena in Columbia.
Ons plan is om hier in Colombia te blijven tot eind mie, dan vliegen we naar Nederland.
In die tijd gaan we in dieverse steden en dorpen onze neuzen laten zien.

WE sailed from Jamaca to Columbia. Which, in my opinion, went very quickly.
We covered 138 miles in 24 hours. We could have done it in 3 and a half days. But then we arrived an hour before dark at the entrance to the harbor, and then you had to take a 5 mile to where we had to go. So we put the brakes on.
At night the wind started to pull up to 35 knots, without sail barepoles, the speed was still 5 miles.
Because we don't have a sail on it, the boat swung enormously. We couldn't hold our own. As a result I lost my balance at a certain moment and was blown away as if it were against the wall. End a big hole in my head !!
Fortunately not so big that my brains fell out.
In the morning, the wind had calmed down and we could make some speed again to enter into the harbor in Cartagena in Columbia.
Our plan is to stay here in Colombia until the end of the of May, then we fly to the Netherlands.
At that time we are going to show our nose here in deverse towns and villages.
