22 September 2017 | Spanje, La Gomera

The start of our second part of our trip did not go according to plan !!
The plan was to leave the 5th of September on Tuesday.
MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Marjorie threw soot in the food !!!!
She received throat inflammation on Saturday, just waiting for Sunday, but Monday I was rushed to the pharmacy as a rush to get the necessary medication. Who I got there promptly !! There you needed a prescription in the Netherlands, but here you can get a lot of medicine without having a prescription for it, so it became a week later that we left, a time off, we noticed that the steering machine did not work well. So actually not at all !!
After having sailed for a while, we turned on the engine, but with the little bit of wind there was, we occasionally smoke the exhaust. But suddenly the wind turned 180 degrees and we resisted him. I'm still rusting exhaust gases.
At first we stopped at the best port we encountered. That turned out to be a hole where you lost your dog so quiet it was there !!
The cause was found after some demolition that the water injector was broken and was very much inoculated by the salt water. That is where the water is injected into the exhaust, and it was made of aluminum. The reason for this was that the support of the water lock was broken. That's a stainless steel thing that prevents water from entering the engine. That thing weighs including water about 8 kg. As a result of the wrecking and collision of those 8 kg, that injection was broken.
The bus into Las Palmas there I knew a company that could make that thing in stainless steel.
Because aluminum with sea water is water and fire. That's all the way.
After having re-assembled the case we went well again.
To what should be a pleasant anchorage, only the water jet skies and other fast-paced crooks did not make it pleasant. In the evening we decided to go to Tenerife or La Gomera.
We doubted to put the sails, which seemed later that we did not do that. We arrived in the acceleration wind, which was said to be the last night, the wind strength was up to 37 knots of wind, that's good wind force. 8. Until 3X we got a bowl of water, whether we were a submarine, I stood up to my ankles in the water. I thought at a certain moment that the waves would hit the total tube hood, but fortunately it did not happen.
From last time we arrived at La Gomera, sometimes where wet, but safe !!!!
Where I discovered, because I was driving the oil, a relay was burned by the starter engine. And it is now in repair. That town or village, whatever you want to name it, is very attractive with a cozy atmosphere. The village is located in a valley of volcanic mountains. There are no apartments or modern hotels. There are many restaurants, shops and some supermarkets. In spite of the bad luck we've had so far, we still feel right here. The harbor is well damaged and there is a good atmosphere with mainly English boats.

So far the beginning of the second part of our big trip. Hopefully with less bad luck.
